Mosquito control is needed for two reasons. Enjoying time your yard can be challenging when mosquitoes are biting. Additionally, mosquitoes spread dangerous illnesses like Zika and West Nile virus.
Start with having a mosquito control expert identify mosquito hot spots and the areas where you spend the most time in the yard. Then, determine whether Organic or Traditional control fits your needs. At Giroud, our 100% Organic and Traditional programs both use a two-step approach:
Yes! Giroud’s 100 % Organic and Traditional treatment formulas control a variety of other annoying pests like ticks, fleas, gnats, centipedes, and ants.
The cost of mosquito control treatments is based on three factors:
Mosquito populations tend to skyrocket as the weather gets warmer. Giroud recommends treatments every 3 weeks especially during the warmest months from late Spring through early Fall. Additional treatments may be required for properties with unusually high mosquito populations.
All applications are safe for children & pets. Giroud recommends that no children or pets be allowed in the application area when the treatment is being done and for an hour after it’s completed. This ensures that the application dries and adheres to the target areas. To protect pollinators, the treatment is not applied directly to blooms on plants. The Giroud crew is also careful not to get pesticides in vegetable gardens, flower beds or streams, and to protect fish, we do not spray near ponds or creeks.
Choose organic treatments instead of pesticides. Additionally, maintaining your yard will help reduce the mosquito population.
Deciding whether Traditional or Organic Mosquito Control is right for you comes down to your personal goals. Giroud offers both types of programs.

We watch the weather and do not do spray treatments if we see heavy rain in that day’s forecast. Once the treatment is dry, the residual from the spray can withstand light rain.
